This is really darn good! It's a shame no one else entered the contest because I feel this would have taken the top spot for sure.

I always love a dark spin on an old yarn, and playing up the Scrooged comparisons was just perfect. I just finished re-listening to the audiobook of the Dickens' novel, so this was especially a delight.

LOL I swear I didn't take your flash-fiction idea for my entry. I'm going to assume we both have furry companions. Hopefully, the scenario here was just a fantasy you came up with and isn't how you spent Christmas morning. Funny entry, I liked it.
