Years ago I became familiar with a writing exercise called Morning Papers. It's purpose was to get one to write each day and since the entire effort was self-motivated one wasn't being criticized by anyone other than oneself, it was an excellent way to get started to put ideas to paper. The entire concept came from a book called, The Artist's Way. Although I have since abandoned this exercise, I owe a debt of gratitude for the insights and confidence it developed in me, to explore more writing experiences which eventually lead me to a writer's group on Linkedin. I am still registered with that group, however, I think I need to move on and insert more vitalatiy into my writing. I am still on shaky ground with lots of trepidation about this entire affair. But, I am willing to push off eagerly into the void with the anticipation that the only way up is to take the leap. |
