. But really though, what works for me is ... I read through what I have, sit down somewhere nice and quiet (preferably outdoors) with a notebook and pen in hand.. I close my eyes and think about the story, visualize the characters. Sometimes it takes a choice bit of music; something I've listened to while writing the particular story I'm ruminating on.
