Power's out, pens out. I wish. Working all night in the cold. Bad storms put trees down everywhere here.
I have ten chapters now and it's coming along nicely. A friend chewed me out for not finishing this before allowing them to read. The first chapter or two are origin stories to begin the real action. Chapters six-eleven are non-stop action and I've limited chapter length to 1500 words or less.
Shadow of the Dark One Open in new Window. (E)
Darkness settles on the land. A tale of powerful magic, war, gods, friends, and betrayal.

Personal note - I have a bad virus right now, running a fever and coughing my fool head off. Lol.
Side note - My cat hates me. I've never owned a cat until this year. Is this normal? But, she does like me better than anyone else in the house. Her name has gone from Chloe to Clawy.
I've been very busy lately with work, but I have written a new one today, The Dark Ones. It's a different kind of writing for me. Hopefully, it will be easier to read than my past endeavors.
Thanks

I've written a few good chapters lately, but it takes views to realize whether it's even worth writing. I really don't know how much (or little) I've improved over the years. Everything feels distant lately. It's not writer's block, it's just the 'blah' of lack of 'others' interest. So many people tell me I'm a great writer but sometimes we all need a little inspiration. And, the more distant one becomes, the darker the writing. That's a fact, Jack. Willing to trade reviews and help for simple reviews, though I work long hours.
Maybe this is 'Rock Bottom', as they say.
Sincerely, The Bottom of the Barrel...

I don't know what to say about this Dystopian, Western Fantasy. It's good. Please comment.
At the urging of many people, I've started writing again. I hope to improve each and every day until I break through this 'wall of uncertainty'. Since all I owned was an old cell phone, I finally broke down and bought an Acer Chromebook. It does its purpose, allowing me to do all the things I used to do. Thank you so much for all the support I've been given here. I wish I had more time to spend writing or reviewing, but I'm away from home 15 hours most days. Aiming to finish a book if it's the last thing I do.

Five minute fun:

Sometimes, at work, I have to give tours or explain to people what we do. I'd love to mix it up sometimes, just for S's and Giggles.

So, how many people work here?
Me - About half.

What, exactly, do you make here?
Me - $25 every time that clock goes round.

I assume it's a very extensive process???
Me - Yep...

What kind of processes does the product go through exactly?
Me - Well, it goes through a machine that goes grrrrr, grrrr, zip, grrrr, grrr, zip, then it runs through another that runs it round and round, (raises arms and runs hands in a huge circle top to bottom) then it falls, peeeew (hands shaking from head to knees) and rides back up again, then it spins and goes spew, spew, spew when stuff gets sprayed all over it, then it shakes really hard (fast hands sliding back and forth in front of me) and finally it lies down and just kinda gives up till a machine comes down and pow (hands slap together loudly), then it runs downhill and gets (meeeooown, zooown, zooown) until somebody puts it on a (makes gear shifting sounds - booood, boooood, booooood) and that's pretty much it.

Five minute fun - all the time I'll have today with all the complaining that I'm on my phone for a minute.
Thanks.
On top of that, they said it wasn't even funny. 😒
I'm back. I've been gone for a while but I'd like to continue working on some old projects of mine. Editing. I'd love to publish something in the next year or two and I want to thank everyone here for the help you've given me in the past.
If anyone wants to leave a review of the overall story, thanks. Just skim and give a hollar. Looking for a reason to keep writing this. 38k so far:

Love to publish someday. Scifi, aliens, fighting arena, edit and rewrite in progress.

Seriously thinking of publishing my first book. I'm almost halfway finished with Auria. Anyone want to check and see if I'll have issues with it? I haven't gotten a lot of reviews concerning Auria. Thanks.
Check out chapter one. I've been editing. It's just strange enough to work. Lol. Thanks.

I haven't been on much lately, been hitting the dating scene again.*Wink*
Rewriting something from ten years ago is a good way to get the creative juices flowing. Just a little something for the Sci-Fi nerds out there. Let me know what you think. It's over-the-top and full of unique opportunities to show a little bit of everything.

100 people have viewed this and did not view Chapter one. Is there anything wrong with this?

Whenever a connection happens and isn't followed through, a person may actually lose a part of themselves. Connections happen everyday; some lost and forgotten, while others might be considered strange. There is almost always going to be some kind of opposition or strife, and a conclusion - an ending to allow for new beginnings. Remember, no matter the age, no matter the skin, no matter the star, you share a connection with someone - no matter where you are.
A friend of mine said on Facebook that he 'Like'd that someone 'Like'd his post and he wished there was a button. I said this in return.

'Like' was originally supposed to be 'Awesome', instead of 'Like'. If you 'Like' that he 'Like'd your post, I think you just said it. Now, he could comment that he 'Like'd that you 'Like'd his 'Like'. That would be entirely appropriate. Anyway, the 'Dis-Like' button will be the downfall of Facebook. People will stop using it, go mad in the streets and start choking each other. That is all. Carry on...
Maybe we should make a 'Like' that someone 'Like'd our post. ???

I DID NOT CLICK LIKE. WHAT DOES IT MEAN?! *Wink*

It's all in the name. A story I posted yesterday called 'Destined' has received 130 views overnight. I guess it has something to do with the name. I once had a story called 'Auria' and received 3500 views in a couple months; so many, I got scared and closed it. It's all in name recognition and how a google search works. If you come up with a good name, you'll get a lot of views, though not really what the searcher is looking for. Lol.
