ON Common Misbehaviors of the QWERTY Keyboard:
Keyboards pull all sorts of little stunts to undermine their writers.
When I put in "bond" and it puts out "bind", I might not even notice on the first read for proof. It did once change the word "botch" on me. Lucky I caught that one.
For a brief tug-of-war, it resorted to German. I got back "vut" for "but" and "shnell" (a misspelling at that) for "she'll". It also started capitalizing nouns -- and verbs, and just words -- at random.
I don't call this a conspiracy. I'm as sane as you are. It's just in their nature.
Keep a firm hand on your keyboard.
