Hi. I have written a new story and I would love readers to give me some feedback. This is the second story I have written for children.
It's called the Underwater City and two quests. 2299944

Thanks
Glenny

You need to make it a link to the item.

My father made up a story about children the moon and the chocolate ladder about 60 years ago. I have made a lot of changes and this story is my own. It is also my first attempt at a children's story.

Happy early account anniversary, Glenny! I see it's coming up this month. *Delight*

Your story seems very interesting. Thanks for sharing!

Just in case you aren't familiar with how to link items, allow me to demonstrate. If you already know, ignore this. *Wink*

All code on WdC uses braces. They are located just above the brackets on the keyboard. To link to an item, there are 2 main ways--items and bitems. You need the item number, but if it's the last 7-8 things you've created or edited, it will appear automatically after the colon. If it's not, you need to go to the item and copy the number to paste in. In this case, I just copied it from the link Lilith 🎄 Christmas Cheer provided. (She's the best!) So, to create an item and a bitem (big item) link, it looks as follows...

{item:2268970} = "An exciting trip to the moonOpen in new Window.

{bitem:2268970} =

I can also quickly show you the 3 most common ways to link to people as well. Again, I apologize if you already know this. *Blush* They are with the words user, suser, and huser. You need the person's username, the name you see when you mouse over their handle. The handle can change; the user name doesn't. So, Lilli's handle is Lilli, but her username is lilli_in_fl. When you start typing the username, options will appear to help you out. *Bigsmile* Here's how links to her would look...

{user:lilli_in_fl} = Lilith 🎄 Christmas Cheer Author IconMail Icon

{suser:lilli_in_fl} = Lilith 🎄 Christmas Cheer Author Icon

{huser:lilli_in_fl} = Lilith 🎄 Christmas Cheer

And one more thing, just in case you've missed it, when you click a person's or item's Plus Sign to keep up with them, I recommend always clicking twice until you see the megaphone. That makes you a fan and they are notified. It's nice to know who is following you and some of us will occasionally reward our fans. *Wink* Favorites only see the finger with the string and we aren't notified so you can't be rewarded. *Frown* And if you want to fan an item, you need to go into the item. If you just click the Plus you see on the bitem link, you are fanning the person, not the item. I did that a lot as a newbie. *Laugh*

Okay, school is over. *Blush* *Laugh* Sorry about all that and I'm especially sorry if you already knew it. *Think* But maybe you learned a little something. *Bigsmile*

Anyway, I'm happy you are sharing your dad's story. Thank you for that! *Hug1**Smile**Hug2* Good luck and happy early anniversary! *Heart*
