Maybe make a few quick notes if you are worried about forgetting what was going to happen next. It is annoying to be interrupted when you are really on a roll, but that's the life of a writer. If not your mom, then a spouse, kid, pet, the phone, your own need for a bathroom or other break, or any other assorted number of interruptions. It's just a part of the process, unfortunately.
Maybe ask your mom for a 15 minute warning so you can wrap things up?
But taking a break is good for your body and can refresh your mind, regardless of the risk of forgetting where you were or not being able to get back into the same rhythm.
Good luck and congratulations in being a real writer with real writer problems.
