Very well said, Sue. I agree with life is satisfying once we stop focusing on other's happiness and instead of focusing on ourselves. It was a difficult lesson but one that changed my life.
Oh Wow! I wasn't expecting you to put God as our business partner at the end. I was too busy getting mad at the man in the story who kept the 100%.
Great story plot, btw. You certainly zeroed in on the man's ingratitude effectively. I guess, we all experience a bit of that ingratitude at one time or another in our lives. A big Ooops!
You cannot define Yolande within any tradition, philosophy or spiritual lineage. She hasn't been a seeker either.
However, despite an amazing history, about 15 years ago, she woke up radically and abruptly to the silence / presence that we are.
Without knowing how, she was disconnected from her psychological self. There was no longer a personal story. The mind became transparent and functional. An absolute and immovable silence entered her life in the foreground and since then she has only wished to enter this silence as a beloved.
From the lucidity and the conviction that are always present, Yolande encourages everyone to discover this silence that is always in us. She lives life faithfully to herself and from a place of unknowing.
She answers questions at the same instant that they are formulated, looking at them, answering them with total simplicity, without resorting to knowledge. She invites us to welcome life, discovering it as we live it.
