Oops, I forgot to finish my blog yesterday. Take UP Your Cross Prompt: Do you believe there are angels present in our world? Why or why not? Have you had a personal experience with one? Answer: I do believe in angels. I have personally seen them on more than one occasion. It makes me look forward to going to heaven even more. We will get to join in with them while singing praises to God. It is a beautiful thing to see an angel worship. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "Trees are sanctuaries. Whoever knows how to speak to them, whoever knows how to listen to them, can learn the truth. They do not preach learning and precepts, they preach, undeterred by particulars, the ancient law of life." ~― Herman Hesse Discuss this quote or something about a tree you've had a connection to in life. Like one you climbed, or read under. The tree I spent the most time in growing up was the one in which my dad tied my swing to. It had huge branches. It bore my weight for many years. The swing wore out before the tree did. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Prompt: I was cruising the galaxy and Buck Rogers and I defeated the Romulans. Write about this in your Blog entry today. All peace is temporary unless it is found in God. Jesus is the prince of peace. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Please use these words in your entry today: Magnificent, foliage, desperate, strutted, pigeon, and peacock. Have fun creating either a poem or story. The magnificent foliage blocked the route of the desperate pigeon. The peacock strutted his beautiful feathers as the pigeon tried to get out of its way.

PROMPT September 4th If the Internet disappeared tomorrow, how would you continue to share your love of food? Awe, back to the good old days. Lol There are so many ways even better than the Internet for sharing a love of food. What is better than posting your favorite recipe on social media or emailing it to family you ask? Well, that's easy. First, you cook it. Then you take samples of it to those around you like your neighbors. You make new friends. You invite friends and family to your house to eat and share your favorite foods. When I was a young girl, the way you welcomed a new neighbor into the neighborhood was by cooking them something delicious and offering it to them. That was how you met and made friends with your new neighbors. Social media, texting, instant messaging, and emails have become our norm instead. A personal touch or physical encounter is always better than a virtual one. Virtual one's are great when you live in another state or town far away, but for those closer to you, we should bring physical contact back into play. As far back as I can remember, church fellowships, family get together, and visiting friends involved the love of food. Food was the centerpiece of those get together. I am sure we all have a lot of great memories surrounding food. |
Day Four: SCARIEST BIRTHDAY EVER What is the scariest birthday? 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁 Halloween 👻 Ha-ha! Okay, maybe that wasn't the funniest joke, but I tried. 🤷♀️ What would be the scariest birthday ever? Would it be to have an accident where you are critically injured or a loved one may not live through the night? Would it be to get sick with COVID on your birthday, and have to spend your birthday sick and alone, perhaps wondering if you were going to survive it? What if you were quarantined in the hospital and being put on a ventilator on your birthday? It is hard for me to imagine anything scarier than these scenarios. I remember having two very miserable birthdays of my own. My grandma passed away the day before my birthday in 2001 at 11 pm. On my 16th birthday, I had a friend spend the night. I got sick with the flu the day of my birthday. My friend sat by my bed with me until her mother came to pick her up. She got sick too about a week later, but I will never forget her kindness and compassion she had on that day. For me, the scariest possible birthday I can possibly imagine would be to wake up in Hell, separated from the presence of God for the rest of eternity. You asked, and there you have it. Thankfully, I have accepted Christ as my personal Savior and have a personal relationship with God, daily. So I don't have to worry about that for myself. However, I do have to worry about the next scariest thing. The next scariest birthday for me would be to have a friend or loved one die on my birthday, their birthday, or any day for that matter without knowing Christ, especially if I had not talked to them about it or lived a good example with my own life. That would be my worst nightmare come true. So I plead with everyone reading this to make sure you don't die without having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Accept him as your Savior today, and learn to spend time with him daily. You will be glad that you did. If you need to know how to do that, please email me and ask me how. I would be more than happy to talk to you about it. I am sure my teammates would love to talk to you about it too. Word Count 407 LeJenD' stolenthrones |
