Yes. You need to support each other.

It might rain today or tomorrow in Udon Thani. Next Sunday they may have thunderstorms in time for Songkran. Last year it went over 40°... hopefully not this year. Very hot at night though; it's definitely summer in Isaan.

We don't know the stories tucked into the pages of an unopened book. Slowly... we learn them. Pan has stories about his family and growing up that he has only eluded to. I suspect they are the source of much pain.

Selling your big bike may be interesting as I haven't seen Thais riding them. Perhaps another ex-pat would appreciate it though.

I was there for Songkran last year. I can see why it's a popular festival. April is a difficult month until the rains start up.

I should visit Suwannaphum but being smaller than Roi Et I doubt that it's as advanced. They have some old ruins and there's a place I could stay.

I hope to get back to Roi Et whenever I return.

You'll be in bed soon. It's 23:49. (9 a.m. here; cold, cloudy)

I would try to be up by 8 a.m. in Udon Thani as I exercised in the morning and it usually was "warm" by 10.

I would watch TV at 20:30 and go to bed whenever.

Boring? Yes.

I would walk through the neighborhoods and sometimes take notes or photos. I noticed the small things.

I... haven't gone back and rated the places I stayed. But... mixed reviews. I'd gladly stay in the same place in Khon Kaen and Phimai again. I'd consider the place in Korat. I would rather not stay in either place in Mukdahan.

Honesty is important in relationships, as is communication. That said, you've crossed a few lines in Thailand. Culture is only one of them. Personally, I crossed more than a few...

Too Big For My Britches

After taking a couple of days off chores, I feel better. I finally have Mom's room completed, but there's a lot more work to do on the rest of the house. I guess as a homeowner, it never ends, and there will always be something that needs doing. I can deal with that, I just have to learn to pace myself and realise when I need to take a break...and then take one.

I need a break now, but it will be a month before I get to lay by a pool in Thailand, sipping pina coladas and trying not to stare at the bottoms of nubile women who are young enough to be my daughters. I haven't touched alcohol since I was last in Phuket in 2018, and in a way, I'm lucky I can have a drink and then leave it. Meth on the other hand is not like that for me. If I were to have even one little line, I know it would be six months before I might stop and regret that one bad decision.

Yesterday I did the double...weights followed by bike, and today, forty-five minutes on the bike. I have a pair of pants that I love. I bought them last time I was in Thailand and they are now too small for me. To fit into those pants again is one of my goals, and I hope within six months, I'll be able to wear them comfortably and with pride. Although I don't want to sound like it, I am a bit too big for my britches.
