I hear a woman say that emphasized our before age, and the eyes just fly open. Generally because it's women who are at least ten years my senior doing the emphasizing. It's okay to feel old. It's not fun to look old.
Don't you just love the way sales people run like scalded dogs when they find out there's no chance for a sale? My wife and I vacationed in Maui and stayed in a time share. They were giving away tours of the rain forest if you took the half hour sales pitch. We decided to go for it. About half way through the sales pitch I exclaimed, "We can't afford this. You're wanting more than I make in a year." Well, not only did he stop but he became really mad that we weren't serious about buying. Now, we were in a large room with probably nine or ten other sales people giving the same sales pitch. I didn't see anyone buying that day and the other sales people weren't pouting. It did get us out of the sales pitch and we took advantage of the free tour.
