An image for a blog that I hope will take root. Galatians 5: 22-23 says "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." Discuss the fruits of the Spirit."

I think the fruits of the spirit are all manifested in one fruit: love. If we truly practice love we will have joy all the time. We will have peace. We will be patient. We will be kind and know kindness. We will have goodness everywhere we go. Faithfulness will follow us. Gentleness and self-control will be our guidelines. All of these things stem from love.

What do you think?"

I think I agree with Bombeck. There is indeed a fine line between these extremes. Both are on opposite ends of their spectrum but the distance between them is not as broad as it seems. Laughter for example can easily give way to tears. What seems funny to one person may seem tragic to another. It is all in one's perception of the situation.

Joan Didion, Slouching Toward Bethlehem: Essays
What are your thoughts on this subject?"

I disagree. I do not feel that one has to master any language to think for themselves. Babies know what they want though they may not be able to put it into words. Humans can think. Words only help the process.
