A Journal to impart knowledge and facts
July 22, 2015

I'm going to start today to record on a daily basis whatever happens to strike my fancy. So, it is a very cool breezy day. I just posted 5 short book reviews to The Monthly Reading Challenge. I'm suppose to put away some winter wood today from the woodpile outside but I'm playing hookey from work to write so starting this blog will get done.

I'm having a daily fight with a flock of English Sparrows that are trying to take over my barn. They are making a terrible mess so they have to go. I have destroyed several nests so far they don't leave but they get out of the barn when I am around. I'm just starting the fight so I guess I don't know how far I have to go to discourage them.

I'm trying not to spread myself to thin on WDC because I find so many things that are interesting here and I am trying to work on a new story. I really enjoy sitting at my desk with a cup of tea and reading blogs on WDC.

Prompt: We all have ‘pet-peeves’. Write about some of yours!

Manx Cat from JapanShe is real

Here is your daily chuckle. I had to google Pet Peeve's to find out what that means: " Something especially annoying to someone." And, I spelled it wrong. Google had to correct my spelling.

O.K. At this time of year it has to be medical Insurance. As aged people we have to review our medicare coverage every year in the USA. Then reopen or change it to meet our needs. When I was young, if you had an illness you could not conquer on your own, you went to the Doctor. In this area there was only a few local. One Doctor gave you advice or prescriptions to meet your needs. We were hardly ever sick. After vaccinations at an early age you just grew up taking care not to have to many accidents. I was fortunate I never even fell out of a tree. Even my own children rarely went to a Doctor for illness.

Now, you cater to the medical profession, beg for dental at an elderly age, are not suppose to have teeth, and only see a doctor if you have a serious illness (body departing the earth). Medical and Dental people try to use your insurance whether you are ill or not. In 2017 a nurse practitioner and a nurse complained because I was not on any medication because it was unusual and I don't believe them either. I got my flue shot at a senior center. Lots, of geriatric people there enjoying the day and cracking jokes. *Smile*

Today, I should be contacting Medicare and looking up insurance to get it over but, I don't think even with rain for the next three hours I will take time to do it.

I do think I need more contact with other people in person. But, in this rural setting that is not and easy thing to do.

I need to Christmas shop now so it will be done by the holiday. I am grateful for online shopping it really helps.

There are probably more small nit picky little every day peeves that simply don't really bother me often. I'm more likely to scream about some old evil intent that lands my way a second or third time when I'm busy with today's life.

To be Peeved or not to be Peeved. I question it? See Ya!

OCT 1 Prompt: What are your goals for October?
Personal or professional, big or small...doesn't matter! We want to encourage you!

I am swamped with things to get done this month. We are having winter wood delivered for our furnace it has to be stacked in the wood shed. I do a lot of the stacking and putting in myself. Every year I hope to fix the situation so we don't have this kind of work plus I don't like to use trees as fuel.

I have an older afghan I use on my bed. It needed to be taken apart and revamped so I am doing that. I am putting it back together with new parts. I want it finished by winter?? I can do the work while I watch T.V. so the work goes fast but it cuts into my time to read and write.

Plus, I have a new kitten. This is the first new pet I've acquired in many years. Training is going well and entertainment while working with yarn is exceptional. *Laugh*

I entered "The Monthly Reading Challenge." So, I need to read five books by November. Some may be audio books so I can continue to work the afghan.

I started to knit a new sweater for winter but, put the work aside until the afghan is put back together. We stored and organized machinery this weekend so that should be under control for the winter.

I have to admit I play some games on my kindle and need to put them aside until I get caught up on winter chores.

Plus, I want to do some *WDC* reviews and work on a story I started last summer sometime.

Just daily cooking and cleaning is enough to keep busy. I wonder if I'm not swamped with more than I need but, it started about the middle of September and I could not keep up for awhile. Plus, I find I'm sleeping more than usual. Used to getting up about 5 this time of year and getting a lot done by noon so I have the afternoon to write or read. I'm way off my schedules.
Onward to the end.
