We live much of life amid unique choices. Joy is anchored in The One beyond our life. |
โThere are times when solitude is better than society, and silence is wiser than speech. We should be better Christians if we were more alone, waiting upon God, and gathering through meditation on His Word spiritual strength for labour in his service. We ought to muse upon the things of God, because we thus get the real nutriment out of them. . . . Why is it that some Christians, although they hear many sermons, make but slow advances in the divine life? Because they neglect their closets, and do not thoughtfully meditate on God's Word. They love the wheat, but they do not grind it; they would have the corn, but they will not go forth into the fields to gather it; the fruit hangs upon the tree, but they will not pluck it; the water flows at their feet, but they will not stoop to drink it. From such folly deliver us, O Lord. . . .โ โ Charles Spurgeon โOur anxiety does not empty tomorrow of its sorrows, but only empties today of its strengths.โ โ C. H. Spurgeon โHope itself is like a star- not to be seen in the sunshine of prosperity, and only to be discovered in the night of adversity.โ โ Charles Haddon Spurgeon โIf sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our dead bodies. And if they perish, let them perish with our arms wrapped about their knees, imploring them to stay. If Hell must be filled, let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go unwarned and unprayed for.โ โ Charles Spurgeon โA Bible thatโs falling apart usually belongs to someone who isnโt.โ โ Charles Spurgeon โVisit many good books, but live in the Bible.โ โ Charles Spurgeon โWhen your will is God's will, you will have your will.โ โ Charles Spurgeon https://www.goodreads.com/author/quotes/2876959.Charles_Haddon_Spurgeon (Philippians 2:13, KJV) |
The Great I Am from Time Unknown created all we see, and all we cannot see alone is more than the mind can free. When Man was placed upon the Earth obeyed he God awhile, but then he broke the best to birth a lasting Sin, so vile. God had The Plan to save these souls before they breathed their first. First Sin had not destroyed His goals. His blessing wins o'er the Curse. The Son of God would leave His Home becoming the Son of Man. The atmosphere of this lone dome is the cathedral for His Plan. The virgin's womb became the door to birth the Door to God. The rocky must of the manger's floor was the start to fix all flawed. The silent years of the Everlasting Word saw Perfection live like us, that when His thoughts were finally heard His Truth would stand as thus. He called twelve men to teach The Way. He angered the teachers of men. With miracles on full display, He sparked the demise of Sin. "He's not of God. He breaks the Law. He must be silenced fast." They broke the Law with each lying flaw to keep enthroned the Past. Accusers' words they fully heard, but slapped the Face of Truth. They crucified The Living Word, most perfect from His youth. They swaddled Jesus, now in death, and laid Him in a cave, but on day three The Living Breath was risen from the grave. His earthbound friends were mystified, "Could He yet live, again?" They touched the flesh of their great Guide, now Victor over Sin. "I am The Way, The Truth, The Life. There is no other way to come to God. All paths are strife apart from Me, I say." The naked heart will stand before the God of piercing gaze, but those now clothed by He, Who bore their sin will know just praise. Please, come to Him with all you are. Receive all that He bought. Salvation is not very far. He gives it. It's not caught. by Jay OโToole on March 28th, 2023 |
