I write mostly speculative fiction (magical realism, epic fantasy, soft SF and stuff that doesn't fit neatly into a subgenre), with an occasional venture into literary / contemporary fiction. As a fiction editor by day, I am around words all the time, and having put my own writing aside for a time to give attention to my work and my craft as an editor/consultant, I figure now is as good a time as any to get back to it. I hope the break has done my own creativity some good. |
