Born and brought up in Coimbatore, a city in Tamil Nadu, India. my education ended with Class 11 level in 1956. Educated in the regional language (Tamil) as there were very few English Medium schools in the city; in addition they were quite expensive. Retired from government service in the year 1994 after serving for 30 years in Kolkata(formerly called Calcutta) and Lucknow. Married, a grandfather of four children, now settled in Bangalore, Karnataka State. |
