I was somewhat of a tomboy growing up and loved being active and outside. I continued to lead an active life throughout my teens and into, ahem, "adulthood" ... and, though a bit of the tomboy remained, my sister was happy to observe in me an interest in clothing and make-up. I'm sure my husband would agree. A diagnosis of A.L.S. - commonly called Lou Gehrig's disease - was the impetus to return to writing, well, to try to write. I grew up exposed to a wide variety of music which instilled an appreciation for most genres - though there are a few exceptions. Not wanting to insult anyone's personal tastes, I will leave it at that. |
My favorites are the classics - especially from the 30's and 40's. Of the more current ones I've enjoyed: Second Chance Harvey, The Young Victoria, Dean Spanley, Akeelah and the Bee, Easy Virtue |
