This section has way more room than I expected. I'll get back to it soon. |
Ambitious, realistic, ordinary. |
A simple, child-like rhyming poetry form, filled with innuendo, smut and hopefully, humour. |
I was 17 when I first picked up a book. It was, Wilt, by Tom Sharpe. This, and the books I read in the next couple of years remain my favourites. The Godfather, Catch 22, Virgin Soldiers, the rest of Sharpe's books, and most of Stephen King's. |
Tom Sharpe, Stephen King, Leslie Thomas, Bill Bryson, P. G. Wodehouse, |
I've only started reading poetry in recent years. I realise I have a lot of catching up to do. Roald Dahl, Edward Lear, Spike Milligan, Simon Armitage, Pam Ayres, Liz Berry, Billy Collins, Benjamin Zephaniah, Ken Nesbitt, to name but a few. |
"Quality, is doing things right when nobody's watching." Henry Ford. This is on my office wall and used as our business mantra. |
Not nearly enough characters available here, so; Gladys Knight, Diana Ross, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Who, Train, Thirsty Merc, Maroon 5, Michael Jackson, Kylie Minogue, Take That, Human League, Roland Gift, Paloma Faith, Rod Stewart & more. |
The Apartment. Won Best Film at the Oscars the year I was born. Some Like it Hot, Home Alone, Big, The Outlaw Josey Wales, The Sons of Katie Elder, The Quiet Man, really enjoying the Marvel films at the moment. The Searchers, Star Trek movies & more |
