About Me
I am an attorney and an aspiring author living in Colorado. I have 2 dogs who serve as my muses and motivation. I began writing when I was in elementary school. Moving on from there, I wrote off and one throughout the years, culminating with a college major in journalism and an eventual career as an attorney. I put the “fun writing” on hold as my career and family developed. These days with the kids grown and off to college, I am able to once again get back to writing for pleasure.

Nonfiction, including magazine articles, blogs and social media. Fiction, including short stories. and children's books.
Writing Style
My nonfiction writing style is organized, informative, and conversational. My fiction style is a work in progress.
Interests
Besides reading and writing, I enjoy dance, yoga, hiking with my dogs and tennis. In the winter, I enjoy snowmobiling, skiing and snowshoeing. I have to "fidget" before I can sit still and write, so staying active is critical!

Historical Fiction, Modern Fiction, Southern Fiction, Mystery, Short Stories, Memoirs, Young Adult Fiction and the Classics.
Favorite Books
My favorite books are To Kill A Mockingbird, Shantaram, Reading Lolita in Tehran, The Cousins War series and Nancy Drew mysteries. I grew up aspiring to be Nancy Drew and have a best friend named George.
