| I've been romantically uprooted from the Philippine Islands by a Connecticut Yankee pen pal in 1973. Our via air mail love affair transported me 10,000 miles away into mainland, USA. Marriage and maintaining a standard of living took me away from writing but keeping a journal kept the embers alive and flickering through the years.
