Summary of this Book...
A group of children, from a very up-scale school, go on a school trip and their bus disappears. This is a book about the agony the rich parents go through while an investigation into the disappearance takes place. The children and their teachers (who were in on the kidnapping) are held in a huge underground cellar, they call The Bunker. The teachers are to keep the children “happy”, playing games or reading to pass the time. The children are told that their parents much solve a mystery in order to rescue them from the game and take them home. The parents are then sent a message saying that one of them has a secret, and that’s why the children were taken. The parents are then plagued with searching their minds, trying to uncover dark secrets to find out who is ultimately responsible for a group wanting to kidnap their children. Couples throw out accusations, as they all mistrust each other. Eventually, they agree to meet together and discuss what they believe the reasons why they may be suspects. And they vow to keep this meeting secret from the police. They all seem to have something to hide. Then they receive a message that the kidnappers want 5 million pounds. But that is not the real motive.
This type of Book is good for...
Anyone who likes reading mysteries plot twists and surprise endings.
I especially liked...
I liked the way the parents fought with each other, when their children went missing. They were focused so much on keeping their dirty little secrets, saving their reputations, instead of focusing on what would get their children back. I really liked the surprise ending; I didn’t see it coming.
I didn't like...
That there were so many characters, and all weren’t distinct enough for me to remember them or connect with them. The author had police delve into random parents' behaviours and lies to make readers suspicious of them. But it seemed too obvious that they were not involved.

This Book made me feel...
Disgusted with the selfishness of most of the parents and pity for Cally, the head kidnapper.
The n/a of this Book...
The author developed a very exciting plot. The book was full of mystery and intrigue.
I recommend this Book because...
It is an exciting read. I was kept glued to the pages as the mystery was slowly uncovered.
I don't recommend this Book because...
I had some trouble at times remembering who the parents were and had to reread sections to get them straight. Some of the characters weren't distinct enough.
