Summary of this Book...
The Keeper of Lost Things is a well-written book, filled with imagery and vivid descriptions. The theme of "lost and found" runs creatively throughout the entire book. The stories about the found objects are entertaining. But this book isn't just about the lost then found objects but also of people (lost to themselves, to the world around them, to their purpose); it's about loving and letting go, too, and about honoring last wishes, and about finding peace and purpose.
This type of Book is good for...
anyone who enjoys reading mini stories within a main story
I especially liked... | ||
I like the whole idea of this older man, Andrew, who started collecting lost items, because years before he lost something precious that his fiancee had given him. He felt so bad, that he wanted to collect lost things and try to return them to their owners. I like that Andrew left his house and all the lost items for his assistant, Laura, to take over for him.
I didn't like... | ||
that there are a lot of characters in places, and at times I got confused about who was who.
The author of this Book...
intertwined stories of the owners of the lost items into the main story of the book
I recommend this Book because...
it is very entertaining.
