Summary of this Book...
This is kind of a blend of romantic suspense and heartwarming family story with a little of a whole lot of other things mixed in (paranormal elements, revenge and more). It tells the story of Amalie Lincoln and Sean Pope's romance and brings the romance of two of Sean's ancestors full circle too. There's also a side story of an elderly family member which I found interesting and heartwarming.

From Amazon: "Sean Pope already lost Amalie Lincoln once. This time, he will risk everything to never have to say goodbye to her again.

Amalie Lincoln moved to Jubilee, Kentucky, to start fresh, build her business, and heal the scars of her past. Little did she know she'd run into Sean Pope, a beloved childhood friend she hasn't seen in decades. But on the day she moves to town, a helicopter explodes under suspicious circumstances, wreaking havoc on the families of Pope Mountain.

As the Jubilee PD dives into their investigation of the incident, Sean and Amalie find comfort and a budding romance with each other. Life in Jubilee becomes exactly what Amalie hoped for. But as the investigators uncover the truth and the crooks behind the attack set Amalie in their sights, Sean must face the danger or risk losing Amalie forever.

Praise for New York Times bestseller Sharon Sala's thrilling romantic suspense:

"Emotionally wrenching, sensually appealing, edgy and suspenseful, and hopeful and endearing."—USA Today for Going Gone

"Vivid, gripping...this thriller keeps the pages turning."—Library Journal for Torn Apart

"Skillfully balancing suspense and romance, Sala gives readers a nonstop breath-holding adventure."—Publishers Weekly for Going Once"
This type of Book is good for...
People who like romance, suspense, family drama, and/ or tight-knit families and communities, and are open to paranormal elements.
I especially liked...
The full circle elements. The fierce family love. The good characters. The Pope family and their culture.
I didn't like...
I think the story could have been just as good without children being in danger. I would prefer to not have that element in the story.

SPOILER ALERT - skip to next section if you don't want things spoiled.

Also, it felt like kind of two or three separate books. The romance was locked in so early, there was no doubt there. It was more about danger for a good while. Then even that was cleared and it was more about revenge / justice.
This Book made me feel...
Like I was experiencing things along with the characters. I think this author is great at developing characters to care about.

I recommend this Book because...
I love all of her books. It was gripping at times and sweet at times.
I don't recommend this Book because...
It's not for everyone, especially with the scene where children were in danger and the things I mentioned in the spoiler alert.
