Summary of this Book...
This book, the second in the Frankie Elkin series, started a bit slow for me but soon became a page turner. It was gripping and impossible to put down at about 60% in.

Frankie is sober but always battles the desire to drink. Unlike most people she seems to be coping by solving lost person cases. This case takes her deep into the Wyoming woods as the oddest member of an eight person search team. As danger escalates and secrets are revealed the tension rises higher and higher. Instead of just looking for a body, soon the team is fighting for their lives.

Frankie makes a grisly discovery and from that point out I found the book impossible to put down. It was a great story.
This type of Book is good for...
People who like mysteries, thrillers, action, adventure, a strong heroine, family drama, friend drama, or just a good story.
I especially liked...
The parts of Frankie's character that I could relate to. She is not an average heroine, for sure, but she cares deeply about people and getting to the truth. I loved Luciana and Daisy and Bob. I liked how the revealing of secrets felt like a natural flow in the story.
I didn't like...
The parts that were a bit to factual/ teachy. I liked the information... just not delivered in her usual style before this series. There were a few loose ends and things that didn't make sense to me but I don't want to spoil anything for future readers. And it's entirely possible that I just didn't catch it because I was up until almost 3am, way past my normal bedtime, because I *had to* finish the book.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Go to a spa and relax. Holy cow was that tense! But great!
This Book made me feel...
Everything, I think. Again, at about the 60% mark I was totally engrossed.
The author of this Book...
Lisa Gardner is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of twenty-one suspense novels, including The Neighbor, which won Thriller of the Year from the International Thriller Writers. An avid hiker, traveler, and cribbage player, she lives in the mountains of New Hampshire with her family. (from Amazon)
I recommend this Book because...
It was a fantastic read.
I don't recommend this Book because...
It gets very violent.
Further Comments...
I borrowed a copy of the book from my local library.
