Summary of this Book...
This is an adorable and beautifully illustrated children's story about overcoming shyness and the power of kindness.

It's definitely fantastical (so some belief must be suspended and children should be warned not to try to do all the things Willow did).

Overall, it was a sweet read with a nice message and I think my nephews would have liked it when they were little.
This type of Book is good for...
Young children and adults who want a bit of fantasy in a sweet bedtime story.
I especially liked...
The illustrations. That big bird was especially gorgeous and the picture near the end with Willow suspended from the balloon and lit up by the moon behind her were my favorites.
I didn't like...
I think some children might try some of the things Willow did and could get hurt doing so.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
See more of the author's illustrations.
This Book made me feel...
Like I was a little kid, being read a bedtime story.
The author of this Book...
From Amazon: "Cat Min is an illustrator, animator, and writer. Cat grew up as a shy kid in Hong Kong, where she spent most of her childhood drawing and making comic books out of printer paper and staples with her best friend. She studied animation and film at New York University, Tisch School of the Arts, and completed the Illustration & Visual Storytelling Summer Residency Program at the School of Visual Arts in New York. She is also a member of SCBWI. Her (not so) guilty pleasures are: McDonald's french fries, sappy romance comics, mobile escape game apps, visual novels, and all things cheese."
I recommend this Book because...
It's sweet! And perfect for before bed. Ending the day with "the warmth of the moonlight spread through Willow's chest" and imagining it in mine is a great way to head to bed.
I don't recommend this Book because...
See the "I didn't like" section.
