I enjoyed this book! The plot is intriguing from the off. A woman wakes up semi-naked in a room she doesn’t recognise the night after a party she has apparently attended. With no memory of what happened, but knowing it was something terrible, she must unravel the secrets of the party.

I love how just about every male character keeps surfacing at the top of the suspect pile, then retreating, then resurfacing. I have to say, though, I did have my suspicions about the person it turned out to be.

There is fab suspense in this novel. As the narrative is told from the main character’s point of view, we only know whatever she knows, and this is a great tool for keeping the readers guessing. I couldn’t wait to get to the end and the final reveal. It did not disappoint.

Fans of psychological thrillers. People who want a quick, thrilling read will enjoy this. A good beach read.

The suspense. The way the suspects kept making me think it was them, then discarding them as suspects, then suspecting them again. The 1st Person narrative worked excellently.

I read the Kindle edition, and the editing seemed a little lax. I don’t know if it was the style of the publishing house or a problem when transferring this to ebook. It put me off a lot at first, but once I decided to ignore it and just enjoy the story, it was fine.

Lisa Hall. I don’t really know anything about her, but I am interested to read more of her books now.

It’s a great story.
