Summary of this Book...
Heroine Jenna, a highly paid and respected therapist, becomes the focus of a sadistic serial killer. Hero Sean's life mission is to catch said killer and, ideally kill him. When Sean realizes Jenna has the killer's attention he wants to use her as bait. It sounds like it'd be a nail biter, right?

Unfortunately, this is a MIRA "Romantic Suspense" story that really gets bogged down in too many introspective and internal argument scenes. It was hard to read and didn't get exciting until almost around page 300. This is the first MIRA book to disappoint me.
This type of Book is good for...
People who don't expect a lot of action scenes.
I especially liked...
I guess I liked the ending. But even that was too long. There were some interesting psychological insights via Jenna.
I didn't like...
This book would have been better with some serious editing.. maybe there's enough meat for a novella but it just seemed entirely tedious at times. Also I figured out the killer's identity way too early.
When I finished n/a this Book I wanted to...
Throw the book away. But I'll donate it to charity.
This Book made me feel...
Mostly bored. But at the crux of things it was suspenseful.
The n/a of this Book...
Got a praise blurb from Carla Neggers, which is why I probably picked it up. I found it at the back of a closet recently and have no idea when I bought/received it. I'm guessing at a library book sale because it's a library discard.
I recommend this Book because...
If you don't mind the tedious parts there are some exciting parts eventually.
I don't recommend this Book because...
See all the reasons stated above.
Further Comments...
I read the paperback version of this book. As mentioned above, I'm guessing I acquired it at a library book sale but I might have picked it up at a book exchange. I really don't remember. The library stamp says 2006.
