I bought this book a while ago and kept holding off on reading it because I had heard it was really, really good and I wanted to be in a place where I could appreciate it. In the end, perhaps the expectations had an impact on my impression of the book because it felt like it started a little slow to me, and was a bit overwritten. About halfway through the book, though, the pace really picked up and it was a really excellent thriller from there on out. Honestly, I'd give the first half 3 starts and the last half 5 stars, so I settled for splitting the difference and rating it 4 stars. Definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of spy thrillers.
