For the longest time, I have had something against this show. I would try and watch it and fall asleep. That music annoys me. Well, now we are getting seasons from the public library to watch and I am loving it.

So far, season one is my favorite.

Why? George Dzundza as Max, partnered with Chris Noth. I like Michael Moriarty best as D.A. also. There are a couple of weak links in this cast, but mostly these episodes are fast paced, interesting (even 28 years later) and well written. The cop side of this is far more engaging than the lawyer part.

The writer definitely has an agenda a la creator Dick Wolf. Sometimes I agree with his point of view and sometimes not so much. But these are episodes containing current events in 1990, that make me think in 2018.

Very intriguing show, much more entertaining than I ever gave it credit for.

I can't believe they let George Dzundza get away though. He was amazing as Max.
