This is a DVD we got through Netflix mailing. The greatest fighter in the Rocky Franchise, Apollo Creed, has an illegitimate son. An aging Rocky Balboa is enlisted to be his boxing coach and a heartwarming story emerges where they help each other.

Michael B Jordan is outstanding as Adonis Johnson (the son) and Sylvester Stallone shines as he always does. And, of course he was denied the Oscar again for one of the most beloved and interesting characters in cinematic history. Go figure.

I enjoyed the film, but Mr. hooves, who used to box, loved it more. Stallone's performance is worth watching it even if you don't care for (and I do not generally) boxing movies.
