Little Moo dreams of being a sailor so she hoofs her way to the nearest ship and climbs aboard. After a savage gale, Sailor Moo is tossed into the ocean swells. Her cousins, the sea cows, save her just in time and swim her to a nearby cattle barge. Moo soon discovers these bovine pirates are looters. Red Angus thinks of Moo as his dairy queen and gives up his pirate ways to marry her. They make their home along the Jersey shore and name their first baby calf, Half-'n'-Half.

I love the puns and play on words in this book. Wheeler's rhyme, meter, and alliteration are grand, as always, and the illustrations... fantastic.

Lisa Wheeler is the punniest author I know of! She lives near Detroit, Michigan.

Ponder Goembel is the talented illustrator of this book, and also collaborated with Wheeler in "Old Cricket." She lives in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

Kids won't be the only ones smiling at this cleverly written story.
