An introduction to food trucks along with facts on food. A fun way to learn about different types of foods and the illustrations are amazing!

4 - 7 is the recommended age group, but as an adult, I found the facts really interesting.

I loved the names of the food trucks! The Ice Queen (ice cream truck), The Waffle Wagon, Curry in a Hurry, The Pharaoh's Tummy, and more. I also enjoyed the alliteration throughout the book and all the facts that were included.

I had a hard time reading the whole book because of all the food wagons and poetry for each one, so I wonder if a 4 year old would stay interested. Perhaps for the younger ones, just looking through the illustrations and talking about the food would be a better idea. Also, some of the poems rhymed really well and others were just... different. It didn't bother me too much, but worth mentioning.

Mark Todd is both author and illustrator of this book. He lives in the Los Angeles area, which is considered to be the home of the food truck movement.

The illustrations and facts make this book well worth browsing through.

A 4 seems rather low for this book but since I am not able to rate a 4.5, that's why. The poetry was just a bit... different, though I did enjoy most of it! The illustrations and alliteration definitely make this book worth your time.
