A lovely book on many levels. Miss Maple is nurturing and loving to her orphaned seeds, taking them on field trips in the day and keeping them safe and warm at night. But she knows when to let them go and sprout roots of their own. The author also illustrates this book with charming details and amazing color choices.

This would be a great book for teachers, for anyone who celebrates Earth Day, and also for graduations (high school or college.)

Eliza Wheeler has written an amazing book. Though it's quiet and nurturing, it's definitely one that stays with the reader afterwards. This is her first picture book. She not only wrote it, but illustrated it, too. Simply lovely.

You won't forget it. It touched my heart.
