Totally Tardy Marty and Never-Late Kate are opposites. Marty never makes it on time to school because he gets easily side-tracked. Kate, however, is organized and never late. She enjoys handing Marty his Late Slip every week day morning. One day, Marty gets stuck in a tree thanks to the ladder falling. Kate ends up helping him and they are both late for school. But in Marty's eyes, Kate is great because she helped him. And so they become friends.

Kids who are slow to get ready for school! Actually, anyone would enjoy this.

I was happy that Never-Late Kate helped Marty. Also, on the last page of the book, there is a list Kate has created for Perpetual Punctuality, Marty's notes are in red, right next to her top five suggestions.

Erica S. Perl lives in Washington, DC and is never late! The illustrator, on the other hand, is Jarrett J. Krosoczka and is totally tardy!

It's a cute story, especially during the school year.
