Summary of this Book...
**SPOILERS*** (Don't say I didn't warn you! And when I say spoilers, I mean big fat spoilers that mean there is absolutely no point in you reading the book for the surprises.) The One is where the Selection process finally comes to an end and Prince Maxon finally chooses the bloody main character officially, although he's always wanted her from the start. Amongst the novels final scenes are the death of the current King and Queen, the engagement, the discovery that the third part of the love triangle has finally moved on and the revelation that Prince, soon-to-be-King Maxon wants to abolish the Castes system used to determine social standing.
This type of Book is good for...
The dystopian-ness of the series becomes more pronounced throughout - you've got the main character and the prince meeting rebels and people killing each other. All of that fun stuff. You also have the romance between the Prince and the MC.
I didn't like... | ||
The fact there's another book. It seems like the author is milking this series for everything and I believe it really should end here.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Sleep, but not because of the book! I just stayed up late reading it, and have now stayed up even later writing this review! I'm not sure if I want to read the next one in the series. I feel like this book had quite a final ending with the epilogue being the marriage and coronation. The next book is released in May, but just reading the summary, I don't think I'm going to bother!
