Summary of this DVD... | ||
This movie was a joy from start to finish. It was hilarious. It is the story of the concerge at the hotel (Ralph Fiennes) and his right hand friend, Lobby Boy, Zero (Tony Revolori). Gustav services his guests in every way possible, both elderly female and male guests. One of his guests dies and he is left the bulk of her estate. Jealous heirs get involved in accusing him of nefarious doings. They go on a chase, including a hilarious prison break, through Europe. This movie was the creation of Wes Anderson, who is known for quirky films. It has a lot of stars in it and was nominated this year for Best Picture. I thoroughly enjoyed it and so did Mr. hooves.
I especially liked... | ||
the pace of the film and the way the actors in it move around. It was like living a dream, watching it with all the pretty scenery and colors.
The cast of this DVD... | ||
is outstanding, especially Ralph Fiennes. He is brilliantly hilarious as Gustav. It was hard to believe he was the same guy who played the Nazi psychopath in Schindler's List. He's so cute in this one!
