This type of Book is good for...
This is a thoughtful and powerful book while still keeping the reader entertained by the story. Jenna is desperate to find her mother and doesn't have any help from her father, who is in an insane asylum. She reaches out to the original detective from the case. She also finds a psychic that many years ago helped solve high-profile cases. Between the trio, they set out to put the clues together to find out is her mother can be found or if she might be already dead.
I especially liked... | ||
These book seemed very straightforward but had some definite twists I did not see coming. It was an interesting read and I will come back to this author.
I didn't like... | ||
I thought the abundance of information about elephants could have been turned down a notch. I understand the author has a commitment to the animals (she mentions it at the end of the book) but some of the research could have been cut down.
The n/a of this Book... | ||
Jodi Picoult has written many good books. This isn't the first I have read nor will it be the last.
Further Comments... | ||
This author has a style that brings you into the story and makes you feel the emotions of the characters. There is a caring and curiosity that is stirred in the reader as they find themselves at crossroads with each character in the book. The twists that have been added to the book were so clever, I never saw them coming even as I was trying to figure out what might have happen with the clues I was clearly given.
