Summary of this Book...
2nd book in the series, it picks up right where the 1st left off. Still managing to stand alone, we find Angle the self-described Red Neck, and proud of it, in the middle of a war between zombie factions. The crazy thing is figuring out who to trust. Her boyfriends uncle doesn't respect her and the guy who tried to kill her a few weeks ago keeps popping up.
This type of Book is good for...
An escape from reality without leaving 100% of the realism behind.
I especially liked... | ||
Angel's attitude and character, plus the emotional flip-flops of never knowing exactly what was what were entertaining.
I didn't like... | ||
Her issues with her boyfriend, while relatable, were exhausting at times. And as a fairly self-possessed young woman, I found Angel's tendency to put herself down tiring, but I loved that her friends never allow her to get away with it.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Read the other books in the series.
This Book made me feel...
Think this could happen; or at the very least it made me wish it could happen.
The author of this Book...
Knows what she's about and has found the balance between LOL hilarious and mournfully serious.
I recommend this Book because...
Fantasy is fun but there are also real life lessons sprinkled in.
I don't recommend this Book because...
Zombie gore isn't for everyone, but if you enjoy Fantasy it's worth a shot.
Further Comments... | ||
I read this before Book 1 but I don't feel it took anything away from it. I plan to read the first one now as a sort of prequel. "Usefulness" is described as 'there is a helpful theme throughout that translates to real life'.
