This movie was on a 6 movie DVD I got for Christmas. It has a good cast.

It is about a doctor in olden times in England. The Doctor gets caught up in a scheme of the king's and leaves medicine behind. Then the plague comes and circumstances force him back into medicine. The Doctor is played by Robert Downey Jr., who I like a lot. One of the women is Meg Ryan in a weird part.

The strangest thing about this strange movie is the wigs that Robert Downey Jr is forced to wear. He certainly paid his dues with this one.

is a good cast. Robert Downey Jr, Hugh Grant and Meg Ryan have never been weirder that I've seen.

it is strangely entertaining, and not in a good movie way, more in a bad movie way. But, I have to say it was entertaining - I was sort of enthralled in the weirdness.
