This is the story of Edward a boy created by an inventor (Vincent Price) who died before he could finish work on Edward's hands. Edward is portrayed by Johhny Depp. One day a kind Avon lady (Dianne Wiest) visits him in his ruined mansion on a hill. She takes him home and her mostly kind family (except for her daughter played by Wynona Ryder) loves Edward as do all the neighbors in pastel Suburbia. But trouble ensues with the jealousy of the daughter's boyfriend.

anyone who enjoys a gentle, humorous fairy tale in the hands of Director, Tim Burton.

Johnny Depp and Diane Wiest when she is trying to put concealer on his scars. Those scenes are priceless as is Edward's creation of the ice sculptures and topiary wonders in the neighborhood.

the ending. It made me sad.

watch more of Johnny Depp's work. I have always been a fan of it and this was wonderful.
