This is the story of the Wiley College Debate team - the first black debate team to compete against Harvard University. It takes place amid the prejudice and lynchings that abounded in Texas in the 1930's.

anyone who enjoys a good and positive story.
I especially liked...
the portrayal young James Jr. by Denzel Whitaker. He was awesome and Denzel Washington and Forest Whitaker were great too.
This DVD made me feel...
like I'd seen a true story that made me more aware of how far this country has come.

is excellent.
I recommend this DVD because...
it is a view back into the past. Denzel Washington did a great job directing this.
