Summary of this Book...
This novel is about a viscious serial killer who sends emails to a newspaper columnist about their killings signing their name, "Mary Smith". Alex Cross is not convinced that Mary is a woman, so he clashes with the L.A.P.D. in this well written suspense novel.
This type of Book is good for...
anyone who likes a fast engaging read. I do not always like Alex Cross novels, but this one I liked.
I especially liked...
the character of Mary and how "she" fit in with the story and the storyteller. It was a surprise, but it fit the facts.

read more books by James Patterson.
This Book made me feel...
like some of the Alex Cross books are definitely better than others. I couldn't get into "Violets are Blue", but this one engaged me as a reader right away.

knows how to tell a story that keeps the reader interested in picking up the book.
I recommend this Book because...
it is a realtively fast and suspenseful read and one of the best in the Alex Cross series that I have read.
