Summary of this Book...
This is a novel about a woman who sort of treads water in her professional and personal relationships until she is forced out of both. Her name is Brigette and when she is fired from her job and dumped by her boyfriend (both of many years standing) she is forced to look at her life and make changes. She becomes interested in one of her ancestors, a beautiful Indian princess named Wachiwi. In finding her heritage, she finds her calling, both romantically and professionally.
This type of Book is good for...
anyone who likes a romance that is contemporary and historical.
I especially liked... | ||
Wachiwi and her adventures being kidnapped and traveling to France. It is quite a saga for the 1700's.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
read more Danielle Steel because this is one of her best.
This Book made me feel...
like I'd read a story where I actually cared about the characters in present times and in history.
The author of this Book...
knows how to get her audience caring about her characters from the get-go. She is a great story-teller.
I recommend this Book because...
it is one of Danielle Steel's best efforts in years. I think it is one of my top five favorites of her novels.
Further Comments... | ||
This is a great story and it is well written. I think the Wachiwi story is better than the Bridgette story, ut I liked both in the end.
