Summary of this DVD... | ||
This DVD blends documentary and fiction in a surreal journey into quantum physics. A fictional storyline plays center stage as a cast of scientists, doctors, theologists, and graduate students attempt to connect activity at the atomic level to the experiences we encounter on a daily basis.
This type of DVD is good for...
People interested in the larger questions about: Why we are here? If God is real? Why do people's live unfold in such dramatically different ways? It is also a great way to attempt to merge science and religion in a new discussion about what we really do and do not know.
I especially liked... | ||
The interaction between the fictional character, played by Marlee Matlin, and the edges of reality. A documentary of talking scientific heads would be informative, but not nearly as interactive as this journey into levels of consciousness.
When I finished viewing this DVD I wanted to...
Watch it again. I actually watched it again, this time with my twelve-year old son, and I tried to gauge how much he could glean from the DVD. Unfortunately, I think it is still above his head and ultimately I finished viewing it alone.
This DVD made me feel...
Excited about the prospects of what the next century of scientific thought could bring us. If we follow our minds into true understanding could we unlock the answers to some age-old questions? Exciting prospect!
The cast of this DVD... | ||
The fictional cast includes: Marlee Matlin, Elaine Hendrix, Robert Bailey Jr., John Ross Bowie, Armin Shimmerman and Barry Newman. The scientific and religious contributors are: Amit Goswami, Ph.D., Andrew B. Newburg, M.D., Candace Pert, Ph.D., Daniel Monti, M.D., David Albert, Ph.D., Fred Alan Wolf, Ph.D., Jeffrey Satinover, M.D., M.S., John Hagelin, Ph.D., Joseph Dispenza, D.C., Dr. Miceal Ledwith Ramtha Stuart Hameroff, M.D., and William Tiller, Ph.D.
I recommend this DVD because...
It utilizes interesting visual imagery, a dynamic fictional storyline, and scientific and religious interviews to address the field of quantum physics.
Further Comments... | ||
This DVD is well worth the rental. I am now inspired to research quantum physics further. With a new century well underway we need to consider how much we can learn about how life can exist on a tiny planet in the midst of such a vast universe.
