This book is about all the newsworthy happenings of the 1930'S. From the dustbowl, to the Lindbergh kidnapping to the great depression - it's all in here.
This type of Book is good for...
anyone interested in history and the 1930s. I am very interested in both.
I especially liked... | ||
the way it is organized into short articles. It makes for easy reading and has been one of my favorite books about the 1930s since I was a child.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
read it again. It is something that you can read in short sections over time.
This Book made me feel...
like I was back in the 1930s.
The author of this Book...
does a great job of compiling all the articles and information. I am not sure when it was written but I first saw it in the late 1960s or early 1970s. My parents had the book.
I recommend this Book because...
it is excellent and gives a broad view of what was going on in one of the most influential decades before World War II.
Further Comments... | ||
This is a great book for anyone who is interested in the 1930s. With all the renewed interest in The Great Depression, this is a must read for anyone to know what was happening in the news at that time. It is not that different (in some ways) from today.
