Summary of this Book...
In the future, after a second Civil War, teens can be "unwound". Unwinding involves the "unwind's" organs being taken apart and being donated to various people. Also, lots of baby's either become wards of the state or be "stoked", or given forcefully to another parent.

The three main characters are Connor, Risa, and Lev. All three are unwinds and are all running away (Lev, however, is unwilling). Throughout the book, the
This type of Book is good for...
Teen readers who like science-fiction or mature books. Or maybe someone who want to read a not-well-known book.
I especially liked...
There were lots of themes that made it a deep read. The multiple point-of-views made the plot interesting.
I didn't like...
It was too short, and the climax was kind of gross.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
find out if it was apart of a series (it isn't :( )
The author of this Book...
has an unusual writing style that almost matches JK Rowlings. He has several other science-fiction books for teens that I'm yet to find.
I recommend this Book because...
it is an underestimated book that deserves to be a well-known classic.
I don't recommend this Book because...
it isn't apart of a series. Anyone looking for a hit, go across the street.
Further Comments...
I read this book for a Battle of the Books contest locally. Out of all of the books on the list, Unwind was by far my favorite. Even though it was too short (twice as little as an average Harry Potter book), it was fun while it lasted. Anyone who likes thrills, a bit of comedy, or emotion should read this. Really. Rush to your local book store or library and get it NOW!
