Summary of this Video Game...
Plane trips are usualy events of change. This change might just be a temporary change of location, but what if the next time you got on a plane your whole view of the world changed? Bio Shock starts with the protagonist on a plane and you gain control after that plane crashes and you must swim around the burning debris and oil towards a haunting tower lit up by the light of a full moon. You explore the tower and learn about Andrew Ryan, a man who believes man's greatest sin is not acting the part of gods.

From the tower the hero descends into the underground city, Rapture, and meets a splicer- a geneticaly spliced human being that has lost all humanity and become like a superpowered zombie. The protagonist's only aid is through a voice on the radio named Atlas, who asks: help me save my family and escape this hell, would you kindly?
This type of Video Game is good for...
It's a great game for people who like FPS games with actual plots, puzzles, and challenges. And ifyou scare easy, play with the lights on...
I especially liked...
I loved the fact that this game was not just about violence. It had a story that was enjoyable and the graphics were amazing.
I didn't like...
The end boss was really easy to beat and that was a little unsatisfying.
When I finished playing this Video Game I wanted to...
I wanted to play it again. There are so many things to do and after you beat the game you still need to piece together the audio diaries and figure out the whole story. There is also a harder setting to enjoy!
This Video Game made me feel...
Scared, excited, disgusted, sad, protective, and happy.
The creator of this Video Game...
The effort put into this game really showed. The music, the mood, the dialog, and even the lighting was well done. There was a few things that seemed strange, but overall the story had a lot of emotion.
I recommend this Video Game because...
It's not your average 'shoot everything for the heck of it' game. Those have their place, but there are so many of them, as well as sports games and games based off of movies, and TV shows that it was great to play a game that sucked the player into its storyline.
I don't recommend this Video Game because...
It's not very long as the point was the story, but I got a few days out of it aand it has good replay value. It's a little grissly and violent and can give you nightmares, so be warned. (I happen to like darker stuff though, so I had a blast... Yes, I've considered that there might be something wrong with me, but I love kittens so I can't be all bad, right?)
Further Comments...
This game also has a sequal I haven't played yet so if you want a game with replay value and the posibility of a similar storyline then this is the game for you. Also, it comes in a variety of consol versions. Xbox 360, PS3, Windows (me, 7, xp and vista), and is available for Mac/Apple computers as well. It's worth at least a rent as you can beat it in a few days.
