Summary of this CDs & Vinyl...
Atlantis CD by David Arkenstone. Narada Productions: Milwaukee, WI. 2004. www.narada.com David Arkenstone is a truly wonderful musician. This CD is fun, and just plain fantastic. I listened to the CD writing down my feelings of each song before looking at the names of them and what I found came out pretty interesting. Here are some of the song titles with my take on them. The Dream of the Gods: very majestic and grand, great energy. Tower of Light: begins relaxing, easy and smooth, builds into a musical celebration. The Temple of Poseidon: peaceful and regal, builds in strength with a majestic climax. Jewel of the Sea: a free flowing dance, contentment, and satisfaction. Festival of the Goddess: upbeat, celebratory, a call from nature to join in the festivities. In the background you can hear the people enjoying themselves. Across the Great Oceans: journey of revelations, searching, finding, falling upon trouble, treading carefully to come out enlightened on the other side. Fire and Water: Opposition, great difficulties to overcome, a battle to overcome, peaceful yet sad resolution. Below the Ocean – The Spirit of Atlantis: exuberant celebration – in the battle of good versus evil, good triumphs! I believe these songs speak for themselves. Arkenstone tells a story through music, not lyrics, but actual music. Other songs on this CD include The Gardens of the Citadel, and The Painted Sails. This is a beautiful CD that could easily be adapted for ritual use.
