This book is wonderful for those who love a good historical romance. You won't be disappointed. All of the characters are very real.

I especially liked how real the story was. I felt so sorry for Judith and the way she was treated. Her tale is tragic at first, yet still beautiful.

I wanted to read the other "Velvet" books. There are three others, I think, concerning the Montgomery brothers.

Sad. Very, very sad. But it has some touching moments as well. The romance is electrifying and you'll be yearning for more.

Jude Deveraux is an amazing romance writer. A lot of her work is historical too. She always delves deep into the characters to where you will learn to love them. (Faults and all!)

I recommend this book because it's a tear jerker and a heart throbber. You won't be able to get enough of it.
