Summary of this DVD... | ||
Burn Notice follows the exploits of Michael Westen, a spy who's mysteriously and inexplicably "burned" (fired) and must now figure out who burned him in order to clear his name and get back to his job as a covert operative. Stuck in Miami with no money and with his every movement being tracked, Michael is forced to partner up with an old Army buddy - Sam Axe - and his ex-girlfriend, Fiona (an IRA demolitions expert). The three of them put their tradecraft to good use helping locals with their various problems, all while Michael comes closer and closer to discovering who burned him and how to get his life back.
This type of DVD is good for...
Anyone who loves good, clever television. The series is a mix of witty comedy, exciting action, and really touching storylines about the people Michael and his friends help.
I especially liked... | ||
The series is narrated by Michael Westen's voiceover, which is both hilarious and informative. Each time he puts a plan in motion, his voice narrates the technique and reasoning behind what he's doing, giving the audience a unique (and often humorous look) inside the mind of a spy. "Figuring out if a car is tailing you is basically about driving like you're an idiot. You speed up, slow down, signal one way and turn the other. Of course, ideally you're doing this without your mother in the car."
When I finished viewing this DVD I wanted to...
Immediately start watching Season 2.
I recommend this DVD because...
Burn Notice is one of the smartest, funniest shows on television right now. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys watching spies do their thing, and doesn't mind laughing at the sarcastic and downright brilliant things Michael and his friends do and say.
